We have been dancing social sequence, new vogue and classical sequence since 2007, starting in Waimate and then moving to Oamaru in 2009. We call ourselves dancing enthusiasts and enjoy helping others learn the dances that make up the programmes for the local Scottish Balls and Saturday night dances held at various venues up and down the country.
We attended the Corowa Festival of Dance in Australia in 2017, Six dances and two workshops in 5 days! We survived, made some new friends, brought back two brand new dances and several that are new for us that we passed onto our group during 2018. We then did a bit of travelling around eventually ending back in Melbourne. Another highlight was being able to join in with a dance at The Melbourne Town Hall. What a fantastic afternoon that was. In 2019 we returned, (with friends) this time for 8 dances in 5 days, again bringing back two brand new dances for our groups.
